What To Know When Travelling to Gurara Falls, Shiroro, Kainji and Jebba Dams

Did you know Gurara Falls is one of the many waterfalls in Niger – the state with the biggest land mass in Nigeria. And you can actually travel within the state for 12 hours non-stop.

Niger is also home to the famous Kainji Dam, Shiroro Dam and Jebba Dam. However, Kainji and Shiroro are now privately run and no longer open to the public for walk-in tours and excursions.

You need to write letters ahead notifying them of your visit, which is usually approved in most cases. So brace yourself for an exhilarating experience and soak in the sights and sounds – cos you won’t be allowed to take pictures 😁
