Today’s meeting was different. I felt so much love and warmth as I walked into the room. Welcomed by the beautiful smiles and the atmosphere of pure & honest worship, the refreshing Spirit of God was vividly present.
I had missed last meeting, but my reintegration today was so seamless. Thanks to the charming and amazing role model we have as leader, Lilian Aribodi.
The flow of today’s conversation was so fluid and impactful. We poured our hearts to each other, especially when one of us who is grieving the transition of a loved one asked if she could trust God again. Where is God when it really hurts?
People who had walked in her shoes shared their stories, their process, and how they walked with God despite the pain. Soft tears flowed. A neighbor offered a napkin to wipe it. She was encouraged. We were all strengthened.
“Don’t deny or conceal the pain”, we were admonished. Let it all out. Grieve. Mourn. Cry. No matter how long it takes. In the end, You will emerge stronger and better. But remember never to doubt God’s love for you in the midst of all these. For what the devil meant for evil, God will turn it around for our good, ultimately.
Finally, don’t isolate yourself, talk to someone, share with a friend in Hillsong, immerse yourself in Christian music and God’s word. Read Karen Kingsbury novel collections. And Someone recommended a film, THE SHACK. Above all, stay with God. He’s right there with you in the midst of it all.
Tonight was a beautiful night. Thank you, Lilian, Bisola, Kelechi and everyone who came out tonight. To God be the glory.
