As the Lion is the king of the jungle and the Peacock king of birds, so are the two celebrity celebrants of today. King Hakeem Adeniyi and King Leke Adewodun are two towering figures with an inimitable persona and endearing spirit.
How can you forget the very first birthday celebration in this class? Exactly this day last year, Leke set the pace with that special Chinese delicacy which ministered to the deepest part of my being. Busayo (Asst. Class Gov) can testify to this. Leke has a presence you just can’t ignore; his funny moi fwend lingua franca, his dynamic fashion sense and of course his multicolored goggles!! King Leke, we hail thee!!!
Many talk about the success of our beach party and business masterclass event, yet only few know the real pillars that made it happen. Ladies and gentleman, King Hakeem is one. Despite being a man of means, he still stoops to conquer. Hakeem’s life is a case study of love, passion and excellence. I remember how he drove the day before the party from Ikeja to the Island (with low fuel during fuel scarcity) just to ensure the sound system and table clothes are set. Akeem’s humility is legendary. His largeheartedness is even more epic. May your days be long, O King!
These 2 kings have proven time and again that you really don’t need a billion to make an impact, all you need is a good heart and a humble spirit. Hakeem and Leke have demonstrated that with their beautiful lives.
Happy birthday, gentlemen. May you live long to enjoy the fruits of your labour.
