My first visit to Geneva, I was given train tickets on arrival by the Swiss Govt. You get it for the period. Getting to my hotel was easy.
Dubai had no rail system for a while. When the population increased, it built one. I am yet to meet an Emirati on the trains. It’s for visitors and migrants.
I have been in black cabs maybe 10 times in my life. The underground is there. It works and it is cheap.
In Rome, there are buses, light rail, bikes and rental ones. No one ever asked me for a ticket or checked in most cases.
T fares have increased by 110% in Lagos. Taxi sharing is not available in VI or is limited. If you drop at the bus stop. Say at Sand-fill, you will walk to your office if you have no car.
If you are ill, you will walk. Imagine the physically challenged and not empowered. You make their pain more.
