Travel Massive and Red Clay Tourism is pleased to provide assistance to those in precarious working conditions in the cultural and tourism industries who are out of work at this time.
Around the world, relief packages have been released for the cultural and tourism sector, and whilst we continue to work to lobby the government to prioritise the cultural and tourism sector in Nigeria, we have decided to put together a relief assistance for freelancers, self-employed agents in the sector.
The aims of the assistance are:
1. To provide humanitarian assistance to those most affected at this time;
2. To create content that can interpret the realities of the situation (e.g. what the Covid-19 disease/lockdown means for you, the sector/the industry and relate this to the wider Nigerian population), or to provide hope to people at this time;
3. To generate ideas and present a project on what a post-Covid cultural and/or tourism sector can look like with a particular focus on domestic cultural and travel experiences.
ELIGIBILITY
You need to be a freelancer or a self-employed individual who has undertaken projects in the cultural and tourism sector to be eligible.
The cultural sectors include advertising, arts and craft, architecture, design, fashion, film and video, music, performing arts, photography, publishing, television and radio. The tourism sectors include accommodation, adventure and recreation, attractions, events and conferences, food and beverage, tourism services, transportation, travel trade.
