Janet and her visa interview

It was her first trip out of the country. Janet had spent countless hours prepping for the visa interview since the invite came from the embassy. The night before the D-Day, Janet still couldn’t sleep. She had never been so very nervous.

Thankfully, the traffic was clear and she arrived in time for the interview. She was grateful her village people didn’t set trap for her on the road. Really? Well, guess they had other plans for her.

So here is what transpired in the interview room.

Officer: Good morning, Janet. How are you today?

Janet: Ayam fine sah!

Officer: Where are you traveling to?

Janet: The United States of America 🇺🇸 U.S.A

Officer: Where in the US?

Janet: San Jose

Officer: It is pronounced as San Hosey. J is pronounced as H in the US.

Janet: Oh okay

Officer: So how long do you plan to stay in the US?

Janet: From Hanuary to Hune to Huly

Officer: 😲
