British Airways has released the director’s cut of its new star-studded safety information video.
The airline bagged an impressive A-list cast to ‘audition’ for a part in its new pre-take off clip in front of comedian Asim Chaudhry in aid of Comic Relief.
As such, the celebrities who turned up for filming included Westworld’s Thandie Newton, Ian McKellen, Warwick Davis, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Gillian Anderson, Game of Thrones star Jim Broadbent, Rob Brydon, Gordon Ramsay and even Mr Bean.
Unfortunately, the final video won’t be available to view until September, so you’ll have to wait until then to see it in the skies.
However, the director’s cut was released today and it looks pretty hilarious.
The airline says that the new film has been designed to ‘help customers absorb important safety messages, while boosting fund-raising for Flying Start, the global charity partnership between British Airways and Comic Relief.
Indeed, at the end of the clip, Mr Bean searches the seats for his spare change…
Other highlights include Gordon Ramsay getting fed lines that were clearly meant for Joanna Lumley, Rob Brydon telling passengers to blow on their life vest’s whistle if ‘they like attention’ and Gillian Anderson getting stranded between a British and American accent.
Ah well. Customers will be viewing this video overseas, so how very apt.
