Top 20 American Destinations where $9billion will be spent on July 4 

Americans plan to spend US$7.15 billion on Fourth of July food, plus an additional US$1.6 billion on beer and wine. Add to that, over US$800 million to be spent on fireworks.

With the Fourth of July just days away, a report was released today on 2017’s best places to celebrate America’s 4th of July Independence Day. It is expected that 44.2 million people will travel over 50 miles from home to celebrate the Fourth of July.

To determine the best places to celebrate the most star-spangled occasion, data was studied in the 100 largest U.S. cities based on how well they balance holiday cost and fun. The data set of 18 key metrics, ranges from average beer and wine prices, to duration of fireworks shows, to Fourth of July weather forecast.

14 – Los Angeles, CA

15 – Miami, FL

16 – Boston, MA

17 – Albuquerque, NM

18 – Cincinnati, OH

19 – Chicago, IL

20 – Philadelphia, PA
